As you might suspect, small business owners are worried about the economy. Many would like to grow, but they figure they should focus on maintaining what they’ve. A recent survey, reported in Small Business Trends, reveals the three-fourths of small businesses are planning for growth over the next few years, but they are worried about the economy and the results of the upcoming presidential election, so they’re biding their time.
My current poll here on Small Business Boomers showed that that readers were evenly divided in their opinion about whether Barak Obama or John McCain has the ideal small business policy. In another survey cited by Small Business Trends, 38 percent of the business owners surveyed said the economy will be a major factor in deciding who to vote for in November.
I guess we are all just holding our breath, to see what happens to the stock market, and in the presidential election.
